Former Oregon Ducks WR facing life in prison will be represented by Richie Litigation, P.C.

Los Angeles, CA October 8, 2018

Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver, Jalen Hall, is currently facing a total of six criminal charges, including home invasion robbery, kidnapping, and first-degree burglary; and could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted on all charges. Authorities allege that Hall, alongside co- defendant Millard Hill, was involved in an armed robbery earlier this month near Norwalk, California. The 19-year-old Hall is a Southern California native. Hall was a top talent at Long Beach Polytechnic Highschool, in Long Beach, California and was acclaimed as a highly-prized WR recruit for Oregon in 2018.

Darren Richie, lead attorney in Hall’s defense, states; “In our justice system, it often feels like someone has to prove their innocence rather than having the government prove their guilt; however, I take solace in the fact that Jalen will have his day in court to establish his innocence. Our society cannot continue to tolerate a ‘point and click’ system of justice. I believe in Jalen, and I believe in the process.”

Hall was arraigned on September 21, 2018 and pled not guilty to all charges. On November 8, 2018, Hall will appear in court at the Norwalk Courthouse to be heard on conditions of his bail and other pre-trial hearing matters related to his case.

Defendant in Actors’ Alleged Kidnapping, Represented by Richie Litigation, P.C.

Los Angeles, United States – July 27, 2018 /PressCable/ —

Los Angeles, CA

July 23, 2018

Twenty-six-year-old Amber Neal was charged this month with six felony counts in relation to the alleged kidnapping of two Los Angeles actors. Authorities allege that Neal, alongside Keith Andre Stewart and Johntae Jones, kidnapped actor Joseph Capone and Halloween: Resurrection actress Daisy McCrackin on May 3, 2017.

Darren Richie, the lead defense attorney in Ms. Neal’s defense, states that “The allegations against my client are unfounded and unsupportable. The media is portraying just a sliver of the entire story, and the fact that Ms. Neal now faces a life sentence in prison flies in the face of reason, justice, and the simple truth.

As the facts and circumstances of this matter come to light, it will be exceedingly clear that the allegations against Ms. Neal are shockingly devoid of any merit or truth. Indeed, to understand the baseless and unlawful nature of the allegations, one need only read the Los Angeles Times article from Saturday, July 21, 2018, entitled Authorities recorded privileged attorney-client conversations, district attorney’s office says, wherein the district attorney has admitted in this case to have unlawfully recorded attorney-client privileged communications.

This outrageous violation of Ms. Neal’s rights under California law is but only one example of the woefully inadequate, incompetent, and illegal investigation of Ms. Neal in this matter. Needless to say, Ms. Neal is not guilty of these charges and she looks forward to proving her innocence before the jury of her peers when this case goes to trial.”

Four UCLA employees sue school, alleging workplace sexual harassment

Four UCLA employees have filed lawsuits against UCLA and the UC Board of Regents, accusing their workplace supervisor of sexual harassment and the university of failing to properly handle abuse complaints.

Plaintiffs Jackie Rodriguez, Amber Rose Palega, Krystal Eda and Mayra Miguel allege supervisor Martha Mansoor, who is also named in the suit, regularly slapped their buttocks, caressed their thighs and made sexual comments about their bodies.

The plaintiffs work in the university’s radiology scheduling department.

The harassment allegedly started in early 2016 and ended in 2017, according to the lawsuits, which were filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Mansoor was terminated by the school in July 2017 after the women filed complaints earlier that year, the lawsuits state.

One of the women informed another supervisor in December 2016 about the harassment, but Mansoor remained in her job, said attorney Darren Richie, who is representing all four women.

The plaintiffs “feel like their complaints were pushed under the rug” by the school, Richie said, in part because the allegations involved “female-on-female” harassment.

UCLA issued a statement Sunday, saying “these allegations are inconsistent with the standards of conduct expected of UCLA staff, faculty and students and we take them very seriously.” The school encouraged members of the campus community to come forward with any concerns they might have about the workplace environment.

“We are closely reviewing the details of the lawsuit and intend to respond appropriately,” the statement said.

The Times was unable to reach Mansoor.

Richie said the women faced retaliation from other supervisors after they filed complaints against Mansoor. The retaliatory behavior included making the women do more work and not allowing them to take time off to see their attorney, Richie said.

The lawsuits also allege that the school’s process for filing a claim is confusing and ineffective. Even though four women made reports about harassment, the school listed only one of the women as a complainant, while the other three were named as witnesses, Richie said.

The women are suing for harassment; failure to prevent harassment, discrimination and retaliation; intentional infliction of emotional distress; and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Richie said the four plaintiffs are seeking more than $120 million in damages.
